Team Liquid PH takes third straight win by taking down Falcons

TEAM Liquid PH stayed untouched in the MPL Philippines Season 17, bucking a slow start before securing a 2-1 reverse sweep over Team Falcons on Saturday in Week 2 of the tournament at the Victoria Sports Tower in Quezon City.

The reigning and defending MPL PH kings took their third win in as many games, proving that the season may be early but the Cavalry are already in their championship form.

By shooting down the Falcons, TLPH rolled out the red carpet for rookie gold laner Dave “Teddy” Viaña in the best way possible, with Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya’s signature, but rarely picked, Benedetta securing the series for them.

In other games, it may have taken time, but Smart Omega finally entered the win column after sweeping TNC Pro Team, powered by the rookie captain Carl “Minguin” Gallantes.

Meanwhile, Aurora Gaming closed out the thrilling triple-header Saturday with a 2-0 sweep over Twisted Minds.
